I need your support in my reelection efforts to continue serving as Oregon State Representative of District 8. Our state is composed of a citizen legislature. It is crucial that I raise funds from citizens like yourself so that I may employ the staff necessary to continue constituent service, develop legislative concepts and research, participate fully in legislative duties during the interim, and communicate effectively with the community. It is also critical for me to help other like-minded progressive voices around Oregon, which is necessary to maintain my influence and status as a leader and committee chair in the Legislature.


Some legislators are able to raise significant sums of money from big business; I am not one of those legislators. Now more than ever, lobby interests are hoping that legislators like me do not succeed. Because of my positions standing up for the interests of Oregonians, some would like to eliminate my strong presence in the Legislature. That is why I need your help growing my campaign contributions from individuals.


Your contribution is essential to ensure we continue to more Oregon in the right direction. We can only continue to build on what we accomplished last session by rallying the support of our fellow citizens and district members.



Don't forget to take advantage of your Oregon Tax Credit!  Oregon law allows a yearly political contribution tax credit of up to $100 on a joint tax return or up to $50 on all other types of income tax returns.  This works by reducing the taxes you owe to Oregon by up to $100, essentially costing you nothing.
