Governor Signs Bill Sponsored by Rep. Holvey Creating Greater Protections for Victims of Domestic Violence
On June 23rd, Governor Kulongoski signed House Bill 2662 into law, immediately ensuring that victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking will not be disqualified from receiving unemployment benefits if they leave their place of employment to protect themselves or their children. "I was proud to have been the chief sponsor of this important legislation." said Rep. Holvey.
